Marjolein van EmstMarjolein van Emst is specialized in dispute resolution in the field of corporate law and liability law. She advises and litigates on matters involving commercial disputes, takeover and shareholder disputes, directors’ liability and the duty of care to be observed by financial institutions. She also handles inquiry proceedings before the Enterprise Division of the Court of Appeal of Amsterdam and has a great deal of experience in attachment law and enforcement law.
Marjolein has been with Lemstra Van der Korst since March 2018. Earlier she was a member of the corporate & commercial litigation practice group at the law firm of van Hoff Advocaten for five and a half years. During her studies Marjolein worked as a clerk of the court with the Maastricht district court.
In December 2011 Marjolein obtained a master in private law (with a focus on corporate law aspects) at the University of Maastricht. In June 2018, she completed the Corporate Liability specialist course of the Grotius Academy cum laude.
Marjolein is a member of the Corporate Litigation Association and of the Dutch Association for Procedural Law.
