Jurjen Lemstra is a co-founder of Lemstra Van der Korst and specializes in advising and litigating corporate disputes. He has vast experience representing clients in numerous proceedings before the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal and in public tender cases. Jurjen is also an expert in conducting financial law cases, focusing on the liability of the providers of financial products, the duty of care of financial institutions and the positions of financial supervisors. Additionally, Jurjen co-heads the firm’s class action practice and advises on collective settlements (WCAM) and proceedings regarding collective action claims (WAMCA), as well as shareholders and executive and non-executive board members in cases of corporate governance and personal liability risks in and outside bankruptcy situations.
Jurjen regularly publishes in his field and is the editor in chief of the ‘Tijdschrift Voor De Ondernemingsrechtpraktijk’, the Journal of Corporate Law Practice.
Jurjen is a member of the Association of Corporate Litigation (‘Vereniging Corporate Litigation’).
