Martijn van Dam represents national and international clients in corporate and commercial litigation. He advises on a variety of cases within this specialization, including complex commercial disputes, directors’ liability matters as well as litigation before the Enterprise Chamber (‘Ondernemingskamer’) of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal.
Martijn also has broad financial law experience, particularly concerning disputes dealing with financial institutions and services, and the duty of care of financial organizations. He conducts cases on behalf of and against financial institutions, including investment banks, financial sponsors, advisors and asset managers. As a member of the class action team, Martijn also represents and defends the interest of the aggrieved parties within the class.
Before joining Lemstra Van der Korst, Martijn was part of the corporate and commercial litigation department at NautaDutilh.
Martijn writes and comments on various articles in renowned industry publications.is a member of the Association of Corporate Litigation (‘Vereniging Corporate Litigation’), the Association of Financial Law (‘Vereniging voor Financieel Recht’) and Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA).
